Weld Box Shapes

By default, weld boxes have shapes as defined by the Shop Images and Field Images in the table below, which is reached via Edit, Master Files, Weld Boxes, Show Unused Rows. For buttwelds, the boxes are rectangular and for socket welds they are diamond-shaped.

To choose a different weld box shape, double-click on the existing image number and choose a new image.

Weld box numbers are assigned when weld boxes are created, based on the current settings. If you need to update the weld box shapes on an existing drawing, display the drawing and select Edit, Welds, Reset Weld Tags. Press F4 to update the display with the new box shapes. <cf>

Note that in the job setup it is possible to opt for calculated diameter inches to be displayed as in the example below. Depending on the box image chosen, the diameter inch values may be contained within the weld box.
